It was an exciting time during Bike Week in Daytona Beach FL body painting and doing henna tattoos at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley Davidson at Destination Daytona this year! I was so excited and grateful for the opportunity and experience. The weather was wonderful 8 out of the 10 days, lucky me to be body painting and doing henna in sunny Florida ! I had a fabulous time creating art and hanging out with the folks at Harley Davidson and Full Throttle Magazine. There were motorcycles galore, music, enthusiastic people, fun, body paint and henna too!

Pre-Natal Belly Painting Delaware

Yesterday I had the lovely opportunity to work with an expecting client for a pre-natal belly paint session in Delaware. We worked with a Fall/Winter Baby theme as this 2nd time mommy to be gave birth to her first born in the Fall and her baby girl is due in the Winter. We decided that fall leaves and snowflakes should be included into the belly paint design.After an hour long session, the final product was a scene on one side with a tree and colorful fall leaves opposite a snowflake scene each sparkling and shimmering with glitter. The results were appreciated by mom and baby girl as she was moving around during the belly paint session:)

Key West Fantasy Fest 2013 Body Paint Highlights

Fantasy Fest 2013 was another body painting success! As one of my favorite events of the year, I cannot begin to explain the excitement I feel about body painting in Key West during Fantasy Fest. I appreciate the opportunity to travel to my favorite place in all the land AND do what I love to do amongst like minded, fun, beautiful people.

The theme this year was Superhero�s, Villains, and Beyond. I painted several Wonder Woman,SuperGirl and Poison Ivy designs on women. Superman and Thor were favorites amongst the men. Not everyone stayed in sync with the theme. Some other designs that I body painted were a beautiful breast cancer pink ribbon on a lovely, joyful and delightful breast cancer survivor, corset tops, sports team jerseys, a dragon and Indian feathers just to highlight a few. I am grateful to have worked with and painted wonderful people . Its as much fun for me as it is for those being body painted in Key West for Fantasy Fest!! I stumbled upon an image of some of my body paint work while browsing online at Key West photographer Barry Martin’s website. The image was taken on Duval Street in Key West, FL during Fantasy Fest. I did the corset body painting on the girl on the end and the skeleton themed body painting worn by the girl on the opposite end. They were my last 2 customers on parade day at Fantasy Fest. I am very pleased to see the image was included on Barry Martin’s website.

FREE face painting is going on this weekend during all 3 public skating sessions at The Springfield Ice Rink. The ice rink season ends on March 27th- so be sure to get your ice skating in before the end of the month! Body Painting in New Jersey | January Goal Challenge

Body Painting in New Jersey

Most people would’nt think of mid January as a popular time for body paint work. However, yesterday, MLK day was an exception. I was contacted to body paint two very enthusiastic, sweet girls in New Jersey as part of a monthly goal challenge. One of the girls sets monthly goals to reach, each year with a different theme. Last year were fitness and sports related goals, this year a bit more unconventional. She invited her trusted friends to assist with goal ideas- the goal for January ended up being body painting!
It was a very fun, laid back body paint session in Mays Landing New Jersey. We chatted and laughed as I painted each girl, both of whom just loved the colors and design painted on their bodies and faces. I used colors and patterns to flatter and reflect each personality and skin tone. I even included YOLO on the back of one of the designs. For those who are unaware, YOLO stands for You Only Live Once- which I wholeheartedly agree with- why not?
