Body Painting for a Philadelphia Photo Shoot by Body Painter Jennifer Montgomery

Last week I had the opportunity to work with the very talented Philadelphia photographer Gregory Maxx of Red Cedar Studio. We collaborated on a body painting photo shoot with the lovely Alexus. I used bold colors with products from Mehron and Glitter Mark by Mark Reid. . The results were very pleasing as I typicaly use brighter colors and neons. I especially appreciated the boldness and strong intensity of the colors I selected. After the full body painting was complete, Gregory Maxx captured some truly excpetional images. I am very eager to share the final copies as they are available. For now, a sneak peek snapshot is available above.

Daffodil Flower Belly Painting Philadelphia Photo Shoot

Last week I collaborated with colleague Aaron D. Stallworth for a Belly Paint Photo Shoot at Studio 5 South in Philadelphia PA. The expectant mommy is due in just a few weeks and she requested flowers that resemeble daffodils to be painted on her baby belly. Daffodil is the flower of the month for March. I used Mehron gold as a background and painted each daffodil a different bright color. The painting took about 1 hour to complete. I just love the look on the new mothers face when she looks at her newly decorated baby bump in the mirror, pure delight!! Sugar Skull Face Painting Philadelphia Photo Shoot

Pink and Gold Sugar Skull Face Painting Philadelphia

I took part in a photo shoot in Philadelphia PA yesterday in the Chinatown section of the city. We started out at Kevin Loreux’s Studio where I painted 4 models for the shoot. Two of the designs were face painted sugar skull designs. The image shown above is the pink and gold sugar skull design. I used Mehron professional make-up products to airbrush the base and also paint with a brush. I particularly like the metallic gold powder I used mixed with liquid to achieve a a fresh, sleek gold color in the design. I embellished the face painting with jewels, liquid bling and of course glitter. The models looked like pixie dolls and caught much attention on location around the city of Philadelphia!

Yesterday I did a Henna Body Art design of a family tree on a client in Philadelphia PA. The design was intended as a trial to decide if an actual permanent ink tattoo would be a good fit in the area requested . The henna design was a tree with the names of the clients two children included within. It took about 40 minutes to complete the artwork and started on the upper thigh area and extended up to side abdomen to just above the rib area. I was very pleased with the outcome of the henna design as was the client. Body Painted Temple University Jersey in Philadelphia PA

Temple University in Philadelphia was celebrated with a recent body painting. The request was a body painted football jersey as a special gift for the clients boyfriend for Valentines Day! I used the actual image of the jersey to body paint on the client. Clothing is fun to body paint to give the illusion that clothes are being worn as opposed to painted on. I especially love that we were able to match the colors almost exactly and create the body painted image we were after. The painting took a total of 90 minutes to complete with a brush. After the body painting, we followed up with a professional photo shoot in Philadelphia with Aaron Stallworth Photography.

Boy love face painting just as much girls and this weekend the theme was Dinosaurs! Face painting was a special activity for a boys birthday party in West Chester PA! All the face painting designs I offered were different dinosaur faces. Some were green, some were orange. or even pink for the little lady dinosaurs of the party!
