We had an amazing time last night at a Philadelphia Bat Mitzvah at The Hilton on City Line Ave in Philadelphia. Myself and an make-up artist colleague set up a Glam Bar offering false eyelashe application, glitter lips and hair chalk for the Mitzvah event. The teen girls and adults REALLY had fun with this! The glitter lips applied in pink, purple or red were a popular choice as well as the false eyelashes. The lashes were availabel in a variety of styles ranging from natural to exotic to create a dramatic look! . It was fun to paricipate and an honor to attend. I really enjoyed working with the girls and applying make-up for them at this event in Philadelphia. So another year at The Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square was a success ! I’m so grateful to everyone that stopped by for face painting and henna body art. I love this annual event . I’ve been participating in it for over a decade now and it’s amazing that I still look forward to it each September. Obviously , as an art based entrepreneur , I love what I do . Aside from that, I am very spiritual . Earning income doing what I love has come with passion and persistence…but also fear. Since haven’t been conditioned in our society to earn by doing what we love , it can be an uncertain road at time. With that said doing this and doing well is a SERIOUS source of gratitude for me . I’ve learned a lot over the past 2 years through my art and business. I went through a divorce which was very abrupt and lining me up to be totally financially independent. Sounds awesome but is quite anxiety provoking as well. I’ve learned a lot about myself and my own strength and earning power as a woman, thats been rather eye opening and exciting. I am so grateful for each opportunity that comes my way and everyone that supports my art and business . I am truly doing what I love and have stayed on course with it for over a decade. Appreciating the arts ….and face painting!

I’m so grateful to have a job that I love . I appreciate that people appreciate my art and support me by having me at events . Art is important as it’s a creative outlet for many things. I face painted at an event last night in Delaware County PA. It was an end of summer camp closing ceremony with a Soul Train themed show which all of the kids participated in . What a wonderful experience for me as an artist ! It was refreshing to see these children genuinely having fun and performing on stage for the audience . They were dancing , singing and smiling the entire time ! It truly was wonderful to experience the energy of happiness that is achieved by being artistic and creative 🙂 That’s why art is important . It creates good vibes . Art is purposeful.Art is peaceful. Art is love. These kids had a reason to work on a meaningful project and stay focused upon something positive and it showed by the smiles on their faces . Face and Body Art: Connecting through Art

So I’m very blessed to do what I do. I create. People smile. I connect. All of this warms my heart and gives me good vibes:) I’m so grateful to have a job that allows me flexibility to travel and learn and many opportunities to experience people, areas, lifestyles, etc. I fully believe that what I do has a very profound purpose. As I grow and evolve and learn about myself, this becomes clearer. I follow a very spiritual path in life and I do what feels good to me. Art and people and traveling all feel good to me. I truly believe we are all given a gift in this world- its up to us to tap into ourselves and find it , honor it and let it shine.

Over the 14 years I have been face and body arting, I have encountered many people and situations. Its always a blessing to really connect with people and I realize thats what my art helps me do. Just a few days ago I face painted at a gig in a school in Delaware County PA. The kids were thrilled about their faces being painted, but the adults were as well. I love when a simple face painting turns into a warm hearted moment of connection while I’m working. The director of the school decided to have fun and get painted. As I was painting her, we were chatting and realized we had some things in common. As we continued, she shared that she lost her husband just 2 years ago… suddenly….while living in Florida. I empathized with her as I understand loss is difficult and grieving can take awhile. She said it was not until just recently that she started to let herself laugh and have fun again. She also shared that face painting was something that she would not have done before, but she was allowing herself to live and have fun and go with the flow. I was so happy to hear that and honored for the opportunity to help her light shining. She thanked me for the face painting and I thanked her for the opportunity. THAT is why I do what I do,its all about the energy and the good vibes and connecting. Something as simple as a painting a woman face like a pirate to celebrate life and art and love.
