I took part in a photo shoot in Philadelphia PA yesterday in the Chinatown section of the city. We started out at Kevin Loreux’s Studio where I painted 4 models for the shoot. Two of the designs were face painted sugar skull designs. The image shown above is the pink and gold sugar skull design. I used Mehron professional make-up products to airbrush the base and also paint with a brush. I particularly like the metallic gold powder I used mixed with liquid to achieve a a fresh, sleek gold color in the design. I embellished the face painting with jewels, liquid bling and of course glitter. The models looked like pixie dolls and caught much attention on location around the city of Philadelphia!

Temple University in Philadelphia was celebrated with a recent body painting. The request was a body painted football jersey as a special gift for the clients boyfriend for Valentines Day! I used the actual image of the jersey to body paint on the client. Clothing is fun to body paint to give the illusion that clothes are being worn as opposed to painted on. I especially love that we were able to match the colors almost exactly and create the body painted image we were after. The painting took a total of 90 minutes to complete with a brush. After the body painting, we followed up with a professional photo shoot in Philadelphia with Aaron Stallworth Photography.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is settling into a fabulous 2012. I am looking forward to a spectacular year ahead. I am most enthusiastic about Fantasy Fest in Key West Florida!I will be body painting at the Fantasy Fest this year, something I have always dreamed of participating in 🙂 I cannot begin to explain just how excited I am about this. For those of you that dont know, Fantasy Fest is a 10 day long celebration in Key West that always takes place in October- think Halloween times a hundred! Theres costumes, parading, prizes, fun and of course BODY PAINT!!!

More details will be posted as the year progresses and the date nears. In the meantime, Happy 2012!

The Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia on Thanksgiving Eve hosted the biggest party in Philly sponsored by LineRocket . I body painted 4 models as part of the event to advertise LineRocket which allows club goers the opportunity to buy tickets in advance and skip the line to preier clubs all over the United States. The girls were painted silver, red and black which are the LineRocket colors. Each model was painted basically the same with slight design and color variation on each painted body. The message “LineRocket” was the focal point of each body painting.

Silver Body Paint New Jersey Photo Shoot

Today I body painted for a photo shoot in New Jersey. I painted the model completely silver, head to toe including her hair. The results look to me like chrome, i just love it. This was my first full body metallic body paint, I was concerned about the appearance of brush strokes considering I applied the make-up with a large body brush as opposed to using airbrush. As you can see, no brush strokes:) It looks smooth and clean like a freshly polished chrome surface.

Everyone involved in the shoot was great. We shot at Empty Bucket Studios in Lambertville,NJ. Stay tuned for more images and a behind the scenes video!

I body paint even in earthquakes! Tuesday we did a shoot in Philadelphia PA where I painted a Philadelphia Eagles jersey on model Tierra at Aaron Stallworth’s Photography Studio in Philadelphia PA. We were situated on the top floor of the tall building as I was painting the back portion of the Eagles design,when I began to feel dizzy and things started swaying. It was an intense moment and neither myself or the model Tierra knew what had happened except that it appeared that the building had actually shifted and things were rattling in the studio. I wasnt sure if I should get out of there quick or stay. I didnt want to leave the model, as she was topless and not fully painted and I wanted to complete the design. After exteme anxiety for the remainder of the session, I did finish the body painting and I was very pleased with the results. I am glad that we didnt experience anything more than a little earth shake and I was doing something I love-painting 🙂
