I had the honor of providing henna services for a bride and her family in Philadelphia PA yesterday:) It was a beautiful , festive experience to be the henna artist for the upcoming Philadelphia PA bridal event. I spent about 4 hours with the family applying henna to the Indian family with designs of all sorts. Of course, the bride received the most intricate and extensive henna work on her hands and feet. After the henna was applied the ladies applied lemon juice to wet the henna again to allow the henna to create darker stains as it was setting on the skin. Its been an eventful , exciting year! In closing out 2014, I have been invited to work with author Nomi Eve to promote her book titled “Henna House” . Nomi Eve has committed to a 100 book club challenge all over the US. I have been invited to share my henna art at the Philadelphia area book club events by applying henna to the ladies at the events. Pre-Natal Henna Safety

Henna is a very versatile service that I offer for private appointments,parties and events. Pre-natal henna is offered for expectant mothers to celebrate and decorate their body during the maternal transformations. Its very important to consider which essential oils, if any, are being used during pre-natal henna. Many oils are safe for use during pregnancy, provided you are healthy and careful with the use of them. Due to their highly concentrated nature, some oils should be used sparingly or not at all during pregnancy.

When choosing a henna artist for your pre-natal henna services, its important to find an artist that does not use any oils which may be a risk. When preparing for a pre-natal henna session, I avoid using any oil in the henna batch to avoid any issues. Henna or Mehndi is a great addition to Bridal Showers or ladies only events. I was the henna artist on site at a Bridal Shower ths weekend in Bucks County PA. It was a nice surprise for all the ladies to have the option to have henna put on. Many of the ladies were enthusiastic about choosing a design and having it applied. The cool henna was an ice treat on a hot August afternoon. The bride enjoyed the most henna, as she had both feet decorated.

Yesterday I did a Henna Body Art design of a family tree on a client in Philadelphia PA. The design was intended as a trial to decide if an actual permanent ink tattoo would be a good fit in the area requested . The henna design was a tree with the names of the clients two children included within. It took about 40 minutes to complete the artwork and started on the upper thigh area and extended up to side abdomen to just above the rib area. I was very pleased with the outcome of the henna design as was the client.
