Henna Crowns for Cancer and Chemotherapy beauties in Philadelphia,New Jersey, Delaware by Henna Artist Jennifer Montgomery

Yesterday was so super amazing!! I was going to wait and write a big blog about it but I’m still so excited that I had to share right away! So I had had this idea to do henna crowns for women in the chemotherapy process as a way to share my gift and help women feel beautiful, as we should:) So , with the power of intention and help from my awesome supportive circle of friends…. this became a reality in less than 2 weeks!!! A very generous soul, Rebekah , from Team CMMD REALLY helped me get this whole thing underway. She connected me to these amazing ladies and even offered her home for us to meet and create awesome body art on a dreary Sunday. My photographer friend and fellow creative Shannon Adelson joined in the process to capture images of the art as it was created and smiles were emerging. It was a beautiful experience for me and I hope the same for everyone else as well. It was nice to share what I have to offer with women that have gone through the trials and tribulations of cancer but still manage to smile. As I’ve said previously, I love what I do with my art, but mostly, I love connecting with people. This art gift I have has connected me to amazing souls and formed friendships with the best people ever! I’m so grateful for everything. I learn so much from people and families I interact with, its so special to hear firsthand about life experiences from people of all different backgrounds, ethnicities, geographic areas, etc. We can easily get stuck in our own worlds and forget to empathize with others and learn about their experience, this job allows me to connect with others. I just really love this, thank you so much to everyone who has helped me along the way- it truly is awesome. Henna for Healing

I am so fortunate to have a job I love. There are moments when that is reflected back to me in a very powerful way. As I’ve said many times before , I really appreciate where my art has taken me over the years. I have opportunities to connect with people that are so meaningful. I am very spiritual and have been on a a journey of awakening over the last few years. I realize I am a lightworker and my art helps me with this. My most recent private henna client and I connected immediately when we met this past weekend. She contacted me for henna to be done on her hands. I had never met her before but knew right away we were going to connect. I think its amazing that my art creates this for me. My client wanted the henna as a gift to herself as she said she is also very spiritual. Turns out we had some things in common as she shared her story of her life and marriage which I was also able to relate to. I shared with her my experience with a very emotional,and devastating end to a 17yr long relationship/marriage- this gave her comfort and reassurance. I am so grateful that she felt comfortable enough to share her story with me and that I was also able to provide words and advice of support and comfort. I truly feel that we are all connected and as we share with each other – we grow and evolve:) I offer henna sessions for groups and indivuals as well as those recovering from life changing medical circumstances including mastectomy and chemotherapy/radiation . The first time I did a henna crown on a recovering cancer patient in the Florida Keys , I had to keep myself together emotionally to get through it. I was so honored that this woman chose me to apply henna to her and it was the fist time she went without her hat or wig since her treatments- that was very special to me. So thank you to all that support me and this amazing gift of body art- I appreciate all of you! Its been an eventful , exciting year! In closing out 2014, I have been invited to work with author Nomi Eve to promote her book titled “Henna House” . Nomi Eve has committed to a 100 book club challenge all over the US. I have been invited to share my henna art at the Philadelphia area book club events by applying henna to the ladies at the events. It’s surely been an honor to participate. I am so grateful that Nomi appreciates my art and that the ladies attending the book clubs do as well. So far, I’ve delightfully decorated hands and feet with henna of many lovely women in the Philadelphia area. I look forward to the upcoming events on my calendar in 2014 and 2015! Last night was a fun , henna body art filled evening at Lola’s Ladies Night Out in Wilmington Delaware at the Crowne Plaza on Naamans Rd. I was at the event offering free henna designs to the first 10 registered guests- which the lucky ladies that took advantage of the offer , very much enjoyed. Most women opted for small, dainty designs on the arm or hand. There were a few larger designs on the hand, ankle and a dreamcatcher henna design on a lower back region of the body. Henna is fun as I can get very creative with it and create unique tattoo designs custom fit for each recipient. I was glad to take part in the this event, put henna on people, and answer questions and spread the word about my art.
I do offer Henna Body Art parties, private appointment and am available for events. Henna is a fun activity for girls nights in, bridal showers, ethnic events, bridal henna, school events, sweet sixteens, birthday parties, bat mitzvahs and more. Contact Henna Artist Jennifer Montgomery 610.764.0853
