Last week I was honored to participate in a Blessingway ceremony to celebrate the upcoming birth of a new baby boy into a clients family. The gathering included friends, family and loved ones joined in love to share stories, time, food blessings and henna for the new mom to be. I began by doing a pre-natal henna design on expecting moms belly. She chose a tree with roots including the phases of the moon. It turned out lovely. In addition, each guest selected a henna design for the hand or body to enjoy. The ceremony was a delightful display of female energy and support in anticipation of new life. I was honored to share my henna body art with these amazing women in the Philadelphia PA area.

Pre-Natal Henna Safety

Henna is a very versatile service that I offer for private appointments,parties and events. Pre-natal henna is offered for expectant mothers to celebrate and decorate their body during the maternal transformations. Its very important to consider which essential oils, if any, are being used during pre-natal henna. Many oils are safe for use during pregnancy, provided you are healthy and careful with the use of them. Due to their highly concentrated nature, some oils should be used sparingly or not at all during pregnancy.

When choosing a henna artist for your pre-natal henna services, its important to find an artist that does not use any oils which may be a risk. When preparing for a pre-natal henna session, I avoid using any oil in the henna batch to avoid any issues.
