Over the weekend we participated in an amazing fundraising gala event at West Chester University offering Glamour Face Painting to the beautiful attendees. The event took place Saturday evening on the univeritys campus. The guests arrived in spectacular gowns for the masquerade themed event. Myself and another amazing face painter matched the gowns with face painted masks and eye designs to coincide with the event theme. We used alot of metallic colors, cosmetic glitters and even gems to create elaborate , glamorous face paintings for the ladies.

Amongst the many events over the weekend,face painting at a boys birthday party was loads of fun! It was a Star Wars themed party in Glen Mills PA. The basement was transformed to resemble all things Star Wars. The boys chose charachters within the theme as well as some other scary, ghoulish face painting designs. It was a fun theme to work with and the boys were a delight to paint and entertain at the birthday party! Who’s ready for Spring? I know we’ve all had enough snow and cold weather. We bid farewell to February with face painting this weekend all over the Philadelphia Tri-State area! We started with face painting at a school in Philadelphia on Friday for a Birthday Party. The rest of the weekend put us in New Jersey with face painting and balloons for a Dunkin Donuts Grand Opening in Vineland New Jersey , a Birthday Party in Philadelphia and Face Painting in Malvern PA for a Mardi Gras Party. Yeah…. its cold out! We heated things up with body painting in Philadelphia at Red Cedar Studio with Gregory Maxx Photography, a hot model and a Harley Davidson. The shoot took place as a gift for someone special for Valentines Day. The body paint was an Eagles jersey on the model as she used the Harley Davidson as her prop. We all had a fabulous time with paint, music and pictures. The pics above are some snapshots from the studio. We celebrated Joe-Joe’s birthday this weekend with Airbrush T-Shirts at his Birthday Party in Philadelphia PA! The kids were sooooo excited to pick out their very own custom airbrush t-shirt at the party to take home with them as a special party favor and momento to remember the festive event. Shirts are airbrushed in 5 minutes or less and can be worn immediately after the airbrushing is completed. The kids pick a design , as well as the colors and name they would like to have aibrushed on the shirt. The adults even have fun with airbrush t-shirts as well. I love Key West. I love face painting . I also especially love parties . Last night contained all 3 ingredients at Lauren’s Bat Mitvah in Key West,FL at The Marriott Beachside Resort. The theme was Dr. Seuss .The celebrated Bat Mitzvah girl was looking beautiful wearing a turquoise colored dress, red sash accompanied by a red and white striped Dr. Seuss hat looking very fun and festive for her party!!
I was hired to do the face painting which was a tremendous hit with the adults as well as the teens! In fact, more adults participated in face painting at the party than the kids! The face painting designs selected were simple , glamorous eye designs with glitter and pizazz for a night out in Key West! In addition to face painting , DJ and videography services were provided by SoundWave of Key West (Jimmy and Joanna are super awesome and natives of the Philadelphia area as well) balloon twisting by Troubador a fellow Mallory Square artist, green screen photos and dance games for the kids!

Keeping Fantasy Fest Creative and Fun in Key West

In the news: The city of Key West is looking to redfine nudity laws for Fantasy Fest. Fantasy Fest is a 10 day long festival taking place in the island of Key West which body painting is primary focus. Fantasy Fest attendee’s get wild and crazy with costumes, body paint and sometimes nudity. The city would like to redfine the laws in an effort to keep Fantasy Fest creative and fun. We know I love face painting and body art. I also especially love warm , tropical weather in the winter when it’s generally cold in the Philadelphia PA area. Because I love warm , tropical weather Key West , Florida is my favorite place to be. So mix all that up -and we have face painting and body art in Key West ,Florida and the Lower Keys in January ! I will be painting faces at Mallory Square for Sunset Celebration. Also , face painting and body art at Porter Village on Duval Street in Key West ( across from Fat Tuesday’s). There is a possibility of body painting at another location on Duval Street in Key West. I’ll post a related blog as that develops .
