As part of Center City Districts 20th anniversary celebration throughout the summer, I will be participating in the Wednesday happy hour event by offering Henna Body Art.
Each Wednesday the locations will be changed so be sure to check beforehand as to where we will be. It kicks off this evening at Davios on S. 17th Street. There are drink specials and more , what a way to kick off the summer!

The above image is henna done on model Sarah who is expecting a baby boy next month. Henna is a beautiful art form that is natural and safe for mommies to be. All materials used for henna are natural products such as coffee,lemon juice and essential oils. The henna stain can last anywhere from 1 week up to 3 weeks .

I will be instructing a Henna body art workshop on Friday May 13 from 6-9pm at the Phoenixville Art Center in Phoenixville PA. You will learn the history of Henna as well as techique,henna recipes and patterns in this class. To sign up please go to the art center website

Last week a bachelorette party was held to celebrate an upcoming marriage. The bride requested Henna as part of the party entertainment. The bride received the most elaborate henna/mehndi on both band extending up each arm. The rest of the bachelorette partygoers recieved more simple henna designs on their hands. I left the party with a a room filled with beautiful henna body art. Best of luck to the newlyweds!

Henna/Mehndi Feet

Henna/Mehndi on the feet is great in the summertime. Henna is a beautiful way to express yourself and beautify your body. I love henna because it is all natural. The smell of tea tree or eucalyptus oil that can be mixed in is so refreshing and clean. Henna lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks depending on skit type and care. Henna will wear off the skin naturally.

Over the weekend I did Henna/Mehndi for an Indian wedding. It was a fun, festive occasion in Cherry Hill N.J. @ The Palace of Asia. There were happy guests, great music, a belly dancer, many beautiful saris and I was so excited to do Henna on the guests 🙂 What a great way to start the Holday weekend!

Just an example of a henna tattoo design at a recent summer corporate event. Henna is great for older kids in the teen years. Sparkles and liquid bling were added to enhance the design, making it more glamorous and fun!

Henna Hands

Yesterday I did henna a college event at Penn State. The weather wasnt exactly ideal for henna, rainly and chilly doenst leave much room for decorating the body. However, I did lots of henna hands. I did alot of freehand henna,which turned out very beautiful. I love the smell henna, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I am hopeful for a warm sunny day for my next henna event! Henna likes the heat, and so do I!
