First I’ll say .. I’m blessed and very grateful. I’m creating this blog post as I sit in Key West Florida sipping on cafe con leche at Sandy’s on White Street outside in the sunshine … Its February . I have a soul connection with Key West . It’s a beautiful ,artistic, magical place that has offered me many wonderful things both artistically and personally . I also have a soul connection with my art . Choosing to pursue my passion for art,independence , spiritual growth and sunshine has been quite an interesting journey . When I chose to use my gifts and do what I love as a career… I was excited.. but also seriously scared. There comes pivot points in life when it’s no longer an option to do what you’ve always done , simply because it’s just not fun and it no longer brings happiness . Discovering that truth is one thing , acting upon it to create change for oneself is another thing . I went in the direction of change…. Scared … But kept the faith. I had a series of successes and failures along they way , I questioned myself , sometimes I wanted to quit … But I kept on going . I’m proud of myself for that , my soul and my art wouldn’t have it any other way .
