I recently participated in a cultural fashion show event at Bryn Mawr College in the Philadelphia PA\/ Mainline area. I painted the faces and bodies of the beautiful students walking in the show for the Bryn Mawr College’s African and Caribbean Student Organization Annual Fashion Show! What a wonderful energy and event to be a part of! The colors of the fashions, the amazing energy of the women, and the overall tone of the evening was fun and upbeat. I painted tribal face designs on many of the women as well as some body paint to coordinate with their costumes to be displayed on the runway. I also incorporated the flag of the country each beauty was representing. It was such a wonderful celebration of culture and art. I am so grateful to have participated in this event. What I appreciated most, these college women were so nice and supportive of each other. They helped one another, they complimented each other … it was just awesome to be amongst such a lovely group of women.
